Surveys
MARE gathers video footage and digital still images of habitats beyond the reach of effective diver surveys. These data enable scientists and resource managers to learn what species live in which specific habitats and to track marine population changes over time. All the video footage is referenced by GPS position, depth, altitude, water temperature, time and date. Other sensors can be added as needed.
